Xiaomi Changes Logo After All This Time, What Does It Mean? – Xiaomi has just announced a design change to the logo that they have been using so far. This was informed directly by Xiaomi Lei Jun during the launch of his first folding-screen phone, the Mi Fold.
This new logo was created by a designer from Japan, Kenya Hara. A significant change from the new Xiaomi logo is that the edges of the logo, which have initially been rectangular, are now slightly curved at the four corners. The other elements in this logo still look the same as the Mi font on display.
Some parties are confused and are wondering what the reason for Xiaomi’s insignificant logo change is. Moreover, by hiring a well-known designer, there are a large number of costs incurred by Xiaomi. Lei Jun also explained the reason.
“Are you guys disappointed with this logo, where we only changed the original logo to a curved one? But this doesn’t only change the shape from a box to a curved shape but also changes the internal spirit and the mentality of the brand,” explained Lei Jun.
Xiaomi Changes Logo isn’t just a redesign!
Kenya Hara also voted for the change in the Xiaomi logo.
“This new logo is not just a simple redesign of the shape but is an encapsulation of the spirit within Xiaomi. This design is basically a reflection of the Alive concept,” said Kenya.
This logo change may be a refresher amidst the increasing company business. Since its founding in 2010, Xiaomi has continued to grow consistently.
Xiaomi has ‘little rice.’ Apart from Xiaomi, another name that often comes to the fore in its cellphone brands is Mi. Lei Jun also explained the special meaning of the noodles.
Lei Jun explained that Mi is short for Mobile Internet because it will work as a mobile device company connected to the internet.
Also, Lei Jun thinks Mi is the meaning of Mission Impossible. This is because Xiaomi will continue to strive to carry out various missions that are deemed impossible to be possible.
