Having a high speed, this WD Black SN750 SE SSD is perfect for gamers who need a fast SSD.

WD positions this WD Black SN750 SE as an entry-level 4.0 gen NVMe SSD, below their flagship SN850 and competing with the 970 EVO Plus. However, its performance did not disappoint.

WD Black SN750 SE Performance

The claim given by WD is to have a read speed of up to 3,600 MB/s. As for the write speed up to 2,830 MB / s. This claim is also a standard NVMe PCIe gen 4 SSD that does not have DRAM.

Other specifications carried by the WD Black N750 SE are using Phison PS5019-E19T and PCIe 4 x4 interface. They also use SanDisk 64-layer 3D TLC NAND Flash.

Performance Test Results

For testing, we used the ASUS ROG X570 Crosshair VIII Hero (Wi-Fi) with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X processor. As for RAM using G.Skill Trident Z DDR4 32GB (3800). Here are our test results:

As you can see, our test results using CrystalDiskMark for the WD Black SN750 SE are close to what WD claims. Of course, this is high performance for an NVMe PCIe gen 4.0 SSD.

But it should be noted. Because it does not have DRAM, if you have a heavy load workflow or a high enough load intensity, of course, there will be a decrease in performance. However, if you use it for everyday use, as a boot drive, or for gaming, it will perform just fine.

And if you intend to use this SSD for your PlayStation 5, this SSD has not entered the requirements of Sony because the SSD for PS5 has a sequential read speed of at least 5,500 MB/s.

Another thing that users get when buying the WD Black SN750 SE is the WD Black SSD Dashboard software and Acronis True Image WD Edition. Users will be able to download it for free on the official WD website.

Price and Availability

The WD Black SN750 SE is available in various capacities. On the official Western Digital account, this SSD is sold at a price: 250 GB capacity $ 54.99, 500 GB $ 74.99, and 1 TB $ 129.99.
