Finally tested TikTok Stories, New Feature From TikTok – TikTok was found to have a new feature, namely TikTok Stories, which seems to be currently still in the testing phase on several user groups. All will be Stories in due time,” maybe that’s the right saying for any social network that tends to add Stories features to its platform. Now, it’s TikTok’s turn to experiment with this feature.
Shared by Matt Navara via Twitter, TikTok Stories appears to work similarly to other Stories features, such as those on Instagram and Snapchat. This feature is located in the bar that was previously the place to view Live. However, now the bar can be shifted and will show Stories from accounts you follow.
TikTok Stories also only last for 24 hours. After that period, Stories will be deleted automatically. Other users can also react and comment on your Stories. Like Instagram, you can tap a user’s profile picture to view their Stories.
In keeping with TikTok’s video-first nature, it seems that Stories should be videos, not still images. Reporting from The Verge (5/8), TikTok describes this feature as a new way to interact with fans.
“We’re always thinking of new ways to bring value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience,” a TikTok spokesperson wrote in a statement. “We are currently experimenting with how to give content creators additional formats to bring their creative ideas to life for the TikTok community.”
When will it be released?
The company did not provide details on how widespread testing TikTok Stories will be or when it will be widely released. The fact that TikTok will experiment with Stories is not surprising. Stories have become the only true constant on social media, especially Instagram.
However, Stories don’t always work. Just look at Twitter. They were forced to shut down Fleets just eight months after its launch, citing the apathy of users towards the feature.
