For information, these applications use a ‘get rich quick scheme to lure users into investing as much money as possible. That way, the user hopes to profit from it.
However, instead of getting profit, it’s a stagnation that is obtained. It turns out that the application is very dangerous and can even bankrupt the victim.
Trend Micro notes that the app is not free, and you have to pay US$14.99 to US$189.99 to upgrade.
“An app called Daily Bitcoin Rewards – Cloud Based Mining Systems asks users to upgrade their mining capacity by ‘buying’ their favorite machine to earn more coins for more coins,” the company said.
The company added eight apps it found forced users to watch ads and an average monthly subscription of $115.
Immediately Uninstall the App
In addition to these eight applications, Trend Micro said there were more than 120 similar applications found. Even the problematic application has infected 4,500 users in the last year.
