Laptop Performance is Slow, This is How to Overcome it – Having a slow laptop is certainly not what you want. What’s more, nowadays many activities are carried out online. Of course, there will be many things that need to be done using a laptop. Therefore, here are some ways you can do to overcome a slow laptop.

1. Close unused programs

You can go directly to Windows Task Manager to close programs running in the background. The trick is to press Ctrl + Alt + Delete on your keyboard and select Task Manager. You also need to click on More details in the lower-left corner and select a program and click End Task in the lower right corner of the window to force quit the program.

2. Turn off Startup Programs

In addition, you need to go to the Startup tab. Then you can immediately see the name of the program running, complete with its status and effects. Click the Startup Impact column to see which application is the heaviest for the laptop. Then select the application and click the Disable menu in the lower right corner.

3. Operating system upgrade

Find out whether the operating system used is in the latest version or not. Click the search button on the toolbar or start menu, then search for the word update. Go to the Check updates page. Then click Open and select Download if there are system options that need updating.

4. Clean malware

Still, from the search page, enter the word Security. Go to the Windows Security page. Then select Virus & threat protection and click Quick scan to scan for viruses or malware quickly.

5. Delete Temporary Files

Temporary files usually appear as remnants of editing a document. Sometimes, Windows does not delete this file automatically. To delete it, you can enter the Disk cleanup menu.

6. Delete Fragmented Files

Fragmented files can arise due to a file’s data being split into many parts and different storages. To remove it, go to the Defragment and optimize drive page through the Windows search field. Click Analyze on the drive you want to inspect, then click Optimize to remove detected Fragmented Files.
