Previously, Microsoft has announced a list of PCs/laptops that can and will get the free Windows 11 update on October 5.

“The free upgrade to Windows 11 will begin rolling out to eligible Windows 10 PCs and PCs pre-loaded with Windows 11 will be available for purchase,” Microsoft wrote on their official website some time ago.

However, not all devices already using Windows 10 can get the Windows 11 update.

To upgrade to Windows 11, users need to meet several requirements on their computer devices, such as a minimum of 1 GHz processor speed with 2 cores or more, a minimum of 4GB RAM, and a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0.

Furthermore, older devices will receive an incremental update. Updates to older devices will be based on specifications, device age, hardware, reliability metrics, and other factors that can affect the performance of Windows 11.
