The CR-X300 is a compact and sturdy camera. This camera can be controlled remotely. The CR-X300 completes the current lineup of PTZ cameras, offering high-quality 4K video output and compatibility with multiple IP protocols.

The CR-X300 is powered by the Digic DV6 image processor and uses the same core components as professional cameras. It supports Full HD super-sampling HD processing from 4K sensors and can incorporate 4K UHD pixels acquired by 4K CMOS image sensors.

Canon CR-X300 is equipped with a standard anti-shock function, offering 4-way image stabilization with vertical/horizontal rotation correction. The camera also has a more substantial shockproof function with special correction effects, perfect for telephoto shooting.

The sensor size of the Canon CR-X300 is 1/2.3 inch CMOS, and the lens zoom is 20x with 4K optics. It supports 29.3mm wide-angle to 601mm telephoto. It can shoot high-quality 4K 30P / 4:2:2 10-bit video, suitable for a variety of video shooting scenes from wide-angle to ultra-telephoto.

The CR-X300 is also equipped with a portable handheld gimbal that can be safely and efficiently carried with one hand when necessary to use in various scenes.

Canon CR-X300: Various Streaming Options

The Canon CR-X300 is compatible with multiple protocols for video transmission, camera control, and 4K video streaming over IP. This PTZ camera supports multiple protocols using Canon’s networking technology, including RTMP/RTMPS, NDI|HX1, RTP/RTSP Standard Communication Protocol, and Canon’s newly developed XC protocol.

This allows for more efficient production by live streaming to selected content delivery networks. The XC protocol offers the added benefit that other PTZ cameras and camcorders, such as those in the Cinema EOS series, can be used in the same production environment as the CR-X300.

In addition, the camera supports “PoE++” (Power over Ethernet), HDMI and 6G-SDI are offered, which can use a LAN cable to supply power and control it. This allows for savings in cabling and unit costs. This flexibility allows the camera to be easily integrated into existing production environments and workflows.

The CR-X300 features an improved pan and tilt mechanism that travels at variable speeds of 0.3°/sec to 60°/sec, enabling smooth action tracking. This high-performance outdoor camera is compatible with Canon’s recently introduced RC-IP100 remote control and Remote Camera Control App over IP, as well as select third-party controllers.

The CR-X300 is designed to meet the growing demand for outdoor video broadcasts, both live and recorded, such as at sporting events or amusement parks. As such, PTZ cameras are aimed primarily at professional users.

This camera has a durable casing that meets IP65 standards for dust and water resistance. There are also electric wipers, and the body is made of anti-corrosion material, which ensures clear images even in the rain.

The camera’s sturdy construction can withstand wind speeds of 60 m/s and temperatures ranging from -15° C to 40° C. It weighs approx. 7 kg and holds a comfortable grip without a protective case. The CR-X300 is also a very compact and portable camera, making it ideal for shooting on the go.
